Help Children in Care

Providing embroidered duffel bags to children in care since 2014. We believe trash bags should not be considered suitcases. 

We're thrilled to partner with One Heart Family Ministries once again for our duffel bag project for 2024! We're also excited to announce Crafty Midwestern Mommy, out of Troy, Missouri will be doing all of our embroidery AGAIN this year! In 2013 we completed our STARS training (Specialized Training Assessment Resources and Support) through One Heart Family Ministries and became officially licensed foster parents through Bringing Families Together in 2014. Once licensed we partnered with BFT to provide 55 embroidered duffel bags for their children in foster care. Through word of mouth; family, friends, girl scout troops and neighbors quickly claimed all kiddo's names and wish list items. In 2015, we partnered with One Heart Family Ministries - our goal was to reach more kiddos in foster care within our community with embroidered duffel bags, we met that challenge and provided Christmas wishes for 265 children.

Since 2014, we've provided over 3,250 embroidered duffel bags to children throughout the St. Louis metro area and Warren County in foster care.

This year, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we aim to make an even bigger impact. Our goal is to provide 380 embroidered bags. Wish us luck! (We did it - thank you to everyone who contributed for 2024!)
